Kicking off in late February and running until March 26, Carnaval Miami is an annual celebration of Latin culture with a family friendly vibe. Organized by Little Havana’s Kiwanis Club, Carnaval includes dozens of events, though there’s two that particularly stand out. On the first weekend of March, Carnaval On The Mile sees a colorful street festival take over Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables. However, this is just a warm up for the Calle Ocho Festival, which takes place on March 13, and runs on 8th Street from 8th Avenue. Flamenco Festival Miami
If you can’t get enough of Miami’s Latin culture, then check out this gathering of world class flamenco performers at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami, from March 2 to 7. Find out more here.
Winter Party Festival

Miami International Film Festival
Now in its 34th year, the Miami International Film Festival brings together some of the best of world cinema. Given the caliber, the prices are great, and the package deals are a bargain. The festival runs from March 3 to the 12th. More details are available at www.miamifilmfestival.com.
Loved Calle Ocho? Well when it comes to music, Miami’s Caribbean community gives Carnaval Miami one serious run for its money. Creole Carnival takes place on March 12 at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center. There’s performers from across the Caribbean. More details are available here.
