A Masked Ball

Enjoy a night at the opera this May with ‘A Masked Ball’. Follow Giuseppe Verdi’s classic drama of Sweden’s King Gustav III’s assassination by a close friend and minister. It’s a gripping story of love, betrayal and tragedy. See the classic story presented by the Florida Grand Opera. SunFest Music and Arts Festival

May kicks off with one of Miami’s most colorful music festivals. SunFest runs from May 3-6, with big names including Pitbull, Nick Jonas and Billy Idol. It wouldn’t be May in Miami if we didn’t mention the biggest celebration of Mexican culture of the year. So dust off your sombrero, and get ready to celebrate Mexico’s historic 1862 victory over France with music, Mexican munchies and margaritas big enough to drown in. Rolling Loud Festival

If you’re not exhausted yet, then how about one of Miami’s loudest hip-hop festivals? Rolling Loud will bring some of the biggest names in hip-hop to Miami, including Lil’ Wayne, J. Brew at the Zoo

The annual Brew at the Zoo is back! Every year, Miami Zoo and the Miami New Times join forces to bring you adorable animals and some serious brewskies.
