South Beach Seafood Festival
The South Beach Seafood Festival is a delicious, multi-day culinary event that celebrates South Florida’s unparalleled seafood culture. If you are a foodie, this event is a must for you. The festival also marks the beginning of Miami’s stone crab season, making it a great chance to become acquainted with a local favorite. In addition to a wide variety of seafood, there will be drinks, live entertainment, and events for children.
From October 20-21 come to Haulover Park for this family friendly event. This festival features an array of beautiful, colorful kites. You can also participate in paper kite-building classes, expert demonstrations, and kite-flying competitions. You can bring your own kite or purchase one on-site. When you are ready to take a break from kite-flying make sure you sample some of the delicious offerings from the food trucks that will be on the perimeters.
Miami Broward Carnival
Come to the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds on October 7 for the Miami Broward Carnival. Locals and visitors alike will be celebrating Caribbean culture through amazing pageantry, talented musical performances, and fantastic entertainment. There are also a series of events leading up to the carnival including the Miami Junior Carnival on September 29, Miami’s Carnival’s Panorama on October 5, and Miami Carnival Official J’Ouvert on October 6. It is highly recommended that you attend all of them, so you are hyped up for the grand celebration on the seventh!
